SKRIDSKOPAVILJONGEN

Just a stone’s throw from the hotel, on the neighboring island of Kastellholmen, lies our incredible Skating Pavilion. A stunning historic building—a small castle right on the water’s edge—it was built in 1882 by King Oscar II for the Royal Skating Club and the Royal Swedish Yacht Club.

In the 19th century, the royal court and high society gathered here over a cup of hot chocolate during the winters when they went skating on the bay. Today, we offer this exceptional, unique venue for exclusive meetings and gatherings—as well as dinner parties and social events.

Skridskopaviljongen of beautifully decorated salons with original decor and stucco. A larger hall with a magnificent stone staircase terrace facing the water and a side salon—the Ladies’ Lounge—as well as a more modern space with a loft-like feel upstairs. Surrounded by a striking view of the water toward the hills of Södermalm, Old Town, the Vasa Ship, the Nordic Museum, and Oscar’s Church.

The Skridskopaviljongen accommodate 42 seated guests for dinner, 75 guests for a standing reception, and up to 50 guests for a conference-style seating arrangement.
